MENTONE COMPETITION PARENT DUTY ROSTER

Parent participation is essential for a Little Athletics Centre to run successfully, each week about 60 parents are required to run the program.  Parents will be required to perform duties throughout the season, to assist with the running of the program.

There are many families who are yet to sign up for duties, these duties are compulsory and failure to attend these duties may result in your child not being able to compete.

IMPORTANT: All parents when registering their child/ren will be required to sign up duty for the season.

If you are unable to fulfill your duty you will need to notify our Roster Coordinators, Sue or Gaynor prior to each week of competition.

State Multi-Event

State Multi-Event Championships -1st & 2nd February 2014

  LaTrobe University, Bendigo Athletics Complex

Our Mentone Multi event achievement is typically 1-2 medalists but this year was exceptional. Mentone athletes appeared on the podium 8 times over the weekend in the 40+ degree conditions. To prove our depth there were an additional 7 athletes who made the Top 8 placings & yet another 6 who made Top 16 in their age group. We've never been this strong - another 40th year Milestone....

The Multi medals are perhaps the most difficult of all to achieve - there aren't that many to be awarded to begin with in each age group & the athletes have to perform pretty much at their top level across at least 5 events.
